Glory In the Highest

Hello,
This is my 2009 Christmas post. If you would like to read it feel welcome. It's about Jesus being born in Bethlehem. But if you rather read my 2010 sermon post then scroll up to the post above.

Let me tell you the Nativity story: On Christmas eve 2009 years ago Joseph and Mary were traveling to Bethlehem of Judea to register for the census. During that time Mary had become pregnant with Jesus. When they reached Bethlehem, Mary's water broke and it was time for Jesus to be born. There was no room in the inn so Mary and Joseph were forced to stay in a small cave cut into a hill where animals would seek refuge. There, in that place on the first Christmas Jesus was born. After 400 years of silence from God, the silence is broken by a baby's cry. So rejoice in the hallowed manger ground. Meanwhile in the same region shepards were watching there sheep when angel of the Lord appeared to them and the glory of the Lord shone around them. The angel said, "Fear not, for I bring you good tidings of great joy. Unto you a savior is born."

Remember what Christmas is really about.

"While they were there the time came for the baby to be born. When he was born she wrapped in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger because there was no room for them in the inn."
Luke 2:6
